Cross Cultures Presents… Cure (Singapore) x Hey Handsome (Philippines) on March 21 and 22

Hello, hello! Yes, our first Cross Cultures event for 2017 is happening this March 21 and 22. For this collaboration, we are bringing together chefs Andrew Walsh of Cure in Singapore and Nicco Santos of Hey Handsome in the Philippines for a two-night event, held at the latter’s restaurant at Bonifacio Global City.

Cross Culture- Cure Singapore x Hey Handsome Philippines- March 21 and 22, 2017- FINAL

A little bit about the chefs:

Andrew Walsh, who cut his teeth as sous chef at Jason Atherton’s group of restaurants, opening Esquina and The Study in Singapore, now translates his Irish roots into his brand of “bistronomy” at his very own restaurant, Cure, on Keong Saik Road. It has been named one of the best places to visit in Singapore by notable publications including The Independent UK, and Walsh himself has been listed as one of Singapore’s chefs to watch for 2016 by The Peak Magazine.

Nicco Santos, who grew up traveling to Singapore and Malaysia (where instead of training at a restaurant, he made it a point to get to know and dine with local families living there, and learning their family recipes) is one of the hottest chefs in the Philippines today. His two restaurants have been well-received in the market: Hey Handsome was named as the most exciting opening for 2016 in Manila, and Santos’ sister restaurant, Your Local was the sole Philippine restaurant on Conde Naste Traveller’s 2016 list of best restaurants in the world to dine in.

For a price of PHP5,200++ (inclusive of organic wines from Sommelier Selection), guests can expect an eight-course menu, where each chef will be preparing four courses.

Part of the proceeds of the dinner will also go to Action Against Hunger (Philippines), a global humanitarian organization committed to helping malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.

Also, as Andy is Irish, we will be introducing Teeling Irish Whiskey to the Philippine market, that evening– you guys will be the first to try it here!
