A New, Approachable Wine Blog By Stephanie Zubiri and Juana Manahan

Just in time for the holidays, my beautiful friends (and fellow writers) Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi and Juana Manahan-Yupangco have launched their new wine blog, Wine Lips. Let’s be honest, a lot of  people tend to be intimidated by wine– they think it has to be expensive and aged to be good. Nope, not necessarily. Steph, who is currently waiting for the results of her Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 exams, and Juana started <wine-lips.com> to cater to people (women especially) who are learning about wine– and to put it simply, *enjoy* it. Instead of being academic and highfalutin, theirs is fun, approachable– and practical,  especially if you are hosting at home– and are working with a budget! (Quick, this website is going to be your best friend with all the Christmas parties happening left and right!)

Some of my favorite posts on their blog– and which I think are most helpful especially since they are Manila-centric, include prices and where to get them are:

Red Wines for Under  P1,500 (by Juana)

These ladies are super fun and they know their stuff! I’ll leave you now with a quote that caught my eye at Steph’s and Juana’s recent launch at Txanton:

Said the Pope himself. Amen!
