HONG KONG: The Secrets Of The Legendary Yung Kee, Ho Hung Kee and Kau Kee

Hong Kong is for sure a food destination– with landmark restaurants renowned worldwide for their specialties: Yung Kee (roast goose), Ho Hung Kee (wanton soup), Tim Ho Wan (pork buns) and Kau Kee (beef brisket soup). Through our food show, “Taste Travels” on FoxLife (formerly Starworld), we visited the kitchens and found out some of the secrets on how they have kept their consistency through the test of time– and the reason why these restaurants are always either packed to the brim or armed with a long winding queue of people waiting for hours, on any given day! Also, we “Taste Travel” back to Manila’s Chinatown to experience some of our Chinese institutions: Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant, and Mr. Ube by Eng Bee Tin! Btw my makeup and hair for all our Hong Kong episodes were done by the amazing Lindsay Co-Alog! She’s not only super talented but is also pure joy to work with– I highly recommend her! xx
